Voice and Beyond Show
This show has been retired & no longer running after one great season!
This weekly show was created to indulge and educate the world of Voice and other emerging technologies. I bring together some insanely smart folks from various perspectives and we talk about insights, trends, and practices.
The interactive show comes out live where the audience can ask questions live every Thursday.

EPISODE 1: Chatting Voice and Healthcare and #VOICE18
Kicking off the series with the accomplished, Dr. Teri Fisher. He is a Sport & Exercise Physician and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia.
He is the Founder of Voice First Health and Alexa in Canada and is the mind behind the daily "Voice in Canada" Flash Briefing, the #1 rated Amazon Alexa Briefing and News Skill in Canada.
On this episode, we talk about the intersections of Voice and Healthcare and Voice Summit.
EPISODE 2: Creating lasting real-time experiences
This week I'm joined with Syed Ahmed. He's working with developers to incorporate serverless architecture into their projects for a San Francisco based company named PubNub. Over the past several months he's had a huge emphasis on creating better user experiences by teaching developers how they can reach real-time latency.
We chat about how he created an extremely unique use case with Intercom via Storyline and touch on some topics such as security, UX and all the other good stuff in between.
EPISODE 3: Speech, EdTech, and How AI is Rapidly Improving Voice Tech
This exciting episode brings forth Joan Palmiter Bajorek, a #VOICE18 Speaker & PhD Candidate, Speech Technologist and Linguist, and a powerhouse Woman in Voice.
We discuss a multitude of topics in such a short time such as why speech tech is taking off, her talk at Voice Summit, UX adapting and changing with Voice, and multi-modal vs voice first.
A can't miss episode and one of my personal favorite episodes.
EPISODE 4: Buying & Purchasing and Voice
This episode brings the hot topic of discussion of purchase behaviour on voice platforms, and how the space will evolve in respect to commerce. We look at the past, present and future of buying behavior and where Voice plays a role.
Josh Udall, the Lead Designer of Watzan Labs joins the show as the Alexa ecosystem has taken over his home. This episode debunks the famous (or infamous) recent statistic "2% of users of Alexa products tried to purchase a product on Amazon with their voice."
EPISODE 5: chatbots, Analytics and Voice
This week's episode is a long-awaited and a must-listen discussion on the distinctions of chatbot and voice applications. Most importantly, we discuss why analytics is important in voice, tools to use, metrics, and how you should be thinking about analytics and voice experiences.
Justina Nguyen, a powerful #WomenInVoice, is the Developer Evangelist for Dashbot where she fosters relationships with developers to understand their pain points and help them integrate advanced conversational analytics. She received a Bachelor's degree from U.C. Berkeley.
